A digital lead campaign deployed to expose and educate the public on real life social scam of re-filtering used lubricants and reselling them in the market place.
Considerable amount of Sri Lankan vehicle owners tend to purchase lubricant oils from non-reputed dealers who actively gets involved in mixing used and drained out lubricant oil with new oil and resell in the market.
Idea and solution
Together with Sarva’s creative direction, two mini crime investigation stories were developed to mirror the scam operations and expose the scam to society.
To launch the campaign as an authentic digital lead story, these story footages were repurposed and images were customized without a brand integration which was launched as a teaser in partnership with leading Sri Lankan Facebook community fan pages and News/Gossip websites where the story got picked up by the target audience as a real life hidden cam footage story prior to connecting the brand in the launch phase.
